چکیده
Background The initial redness of the scar on a postoperative suture site is natural phenomenon that fades over time. However, with long period redness, patients complain about cosmetic discomfort, and possibility pigmentation changes induced. We investigated use long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser as noninvasive treatment for improving these scars. Methods A retrospective chart review was conducted 36 who underwent excision nevus face. Fourteen received another 22 used only management ointment. Patients were followed up 1 week after sutures removed. photographic images taken at time removal 2 months later reviewed. evaluation performed 7-point scale by adding Japan Scar Workshop (JSW) scale’s erythema scores. Results average JSW score group 4.6, nontreatment 4.2. When re-evaluation later, decreased to 2.2 3.1. difference in between according performance statistically significant (P=0.03).Conclusions method less invasive has quick effect can be good alternative this redness.

متن کاملQCW Pulsed Nd:YAG 1064 nm Laser Lipolysis
The aim of this study was to evaluate the rapidly growing use of Nd:YAG 1064 nm lasers for laser lipolysis, and to compare this wavelength with other wavelengths used for laser lipolysis in terms of safety and efficacy. The wavelength dependence of laser lipolysis was simulated using a Monte Carlo computer simulation. The results show that the Nd:YAG 1064 nm wavelength is the optimal wavelength...
متن کاملHistologic evaluation of laser lipolysis: pulsed 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser versus cw 980-nm diode laser.
BACKGROUND The use of the laser as an auxiliary tool has refined the traditional technique for lipoplasty. During laser lipolysis, the interaction between the laser and the fat produced direct cellular destruction before the suction, reduced bleeding, and promoted skin tightening. OBJECTIVE This study sought to perform a comparative histologic evaluation of laser lipolysis with the pulsed 106...
متن کاملLong-pulsed 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser-assisted hair removal in all skin types.
BACKGROUND Although there are several different laser systems available for the reduction of unwanted hair, no single system has been shown to be superior in providing safe and effective hair removal in every skin type. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of a high-energy, long-pulsed, 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser with a contact cooling device for hair removal in skin phot...
متن کاملTreatment of Superficial Cutaneous Vascular Lesions: Experience with the Long-Pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG Laser
Recent published studies evaluating the long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser for superficial cutaneous vascular lesions have limited subjects and optimal treatment parameters have not been established. To determine the efficacy and safety of the long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser on superficial cutaneus vascular lesions and analyse retrospectively our experience of a 3-year period are the aims of thi...
